'Live life to the full and create a better future for all.'

Our Vision

We believe that God is the thread that pulls us together as one community moving forward into the wider world.

We aim to give everyone rich and varied opportunities to develop a confidence, self-respect, and a sense of wonder for the world. We provide a safe, secure, stimulating and inclusive environment, where everyone is valued and supported by each other. We believe this will enable all to reach their full potential and develop resilience to meet life’s challenges so that we can live happy and fulfilling lives.

Our Tagline

'Live life to the full and create a better future for all’

Our vision and tagline are theologically-rooted in our values which are linked to Bible verses or stories and complimented by (John 10:10) ‘Jesus came so that we may have life, life in all it’s fullness.’ Our vision and values underpin all we do, ensuring we give all, to all and live our lives to the fullest.

Our Values

Our Christian values, which derive from the life and teaching of Jesus, underpin every aspect of school life at Mareham Le Fen. We aim to model and promote these values in all that we do; these values are Friendship, Forgiveness, Respect, Perseverance and Responsibility.

  • Friendship– We care, share and encourage each other in all we do

The Parable of the Good Samaritan. ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’. Luke 10:37

  • Forgiveness-We always forgive and forget

If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done.’Matthew 6:14-15

  • Respect-We treat others how we want to be treated

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector. ‘Treat everyone you meet with dignity. Love your spiritual family. Revere God.  Respect the government.’ Peter 2:17

  • Perseverance-We never give up on our goals

The Flood Begins. ‘‘God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honour and immortality, He will give eternal life’.Romans 2:6-7.

  • Responsibility-We take responsibility for our footprints on the world

Jesus heals a man let down through the roof of a house. ‘For each will have to bear his own load’. Galatians 6:5.

Intent statement

At Mareham our curriculum ensures that knowledge and key skills in all subjects are taught in a systematic, well-planned and progressive manner.

At Mareham our curriculum is driven by:

  • creating a sense of awe and wonder – curiosity, excitement, getting children to think and enquire more
  • our place in our world - respect for living things, local, national and global knowledge and beyond, cultures, traditions, diversity
  • vocabulary – refines and enriches communication, better understanding and language

We aim to develop our children – physically, socially, mentally, culturally and spiritually to embrace lifelong learning with a sense of awe and wonder in order to make a positive contribution to the local and wider community. Our Christian values shape how we behave, what we say, how we build relationships and how we learn. Our curriculum is designed to help each child to develop a love and independence for learning whilst achieving academically across its breadth, meeting national expectations by the end of their primary education.

We are friendly, inclusive to all and build resilience; encourage a positive mindset amongst our children as it is often through mistakes that we learn the most. Everyone thrives through feeling safe, confident and valued and the well-being of each and every individual is a priority.
